Summary
With four hospitals in Nebraska and Southwest Iowa, more than 30 clinic locations, a nursing and allied health college, and a medical supply distributorship and central laundry, Methodist Health System brings the full resources of a regional network of health care providers, educators and support services to the Midwest. They are regional leaders in cardiology, women’s health, cancer care, primary care and orthopedics.
With so many varied programs and locations, finding a media monitoring and measurement service to track and analyze exposure required a vendor equally strong in the rural communities as in the major metropolitan areas.
“We have been with Universal/Truescope for decades. We did leave for a brief time – but quickly realized the grass isn’t always greener. They meet our needs and the team is always open to tweaking their process so we can be assured we obtain the best data possible." - Claudia Bohn, Communications & Public Relations Director
Challenge
With any public relations effort, measurement is always important. How do we showcase our efforts to leadership in our organization? We can certainly provide links to stories once they have aired or published – which is great. But what is the impact of that TV story or print piece?
Solution
The analytics from Truescope allow us to do just that. Once my monthly report arrives, I review and then share directly with my boss for her review. We use the report to provide year-end results as well. It’s also helpful to do a month-by-month comparison and also a year over year. There is great value in having a monitoring service like Truescope to validate the work you do on a daily basis.
Outcomes
As I stated above, we think we do great work. The analytics are the proof in the pudding if you will. We have certainly been approached by monitoring services for our business – but we want to stay close to home. Truescope knows our market, they understand how our PR efforts are focused and want to provide quality information to a strong community partner.
